Stefan Frommelt

Stefan Frommelt is a pianist, composer, arranger und music teacher from Liechtenstein.

Raised in a family of musicians, he decided to study music and graduated from the Musikhochschule Wien (Mag. Art., Piano & Music Pedagogy) in 1992 and the Hochschule Luzern (Diploma, Jazz Performance, Composition and Arrangement) in 2000. Further studies include master classes, with Simon Nabatov, Uli Rennert, Art Lande and Uli Scherer et al.

He is the founder and bandleader of many ensembles, such as the award-winning "Jazzzirkus". As a sideman he worked with Sandy Patton, Marianne Racine, Carlo Lorenzi, Herbert Walser, Alfred Vogel, the Big Band Liechtenstein and many more. Stefan Frommelt was the artistic director for the Art & Music Company in Bern from 1993 to 1998 and for the TAK Liechtenstein in 2004 and 2006. In 2017 he founded his own Jazz Trio, exclusively performing originals, which successfully launched it's debut albume on itunes in 2018.
