Stevie Holland
Her new CD Life Goes On, is a collection of original songs, standards, and Stevie’s trademark picks of lesser-known gems from the pop world and American Songbook. Stevie's trio is Randy Ingram, piano, Peter Brendler, bass, and Jeff Davis, drums. Also joining Stevie is Nicholas Payton on trumpet, and a string quartet on select tracks.
Arrangements are by award-winning composer Gary William Friedman, and Grammy-winning producer Todd Barkan joins Holland, once again.
Her previous CD Before Love Has Gone, received acclaim from jazz, pop and cabaret critics, and made the critic’s list as a Top CD of the Year at USA TODAY. Esteemed jazz journalist Gary Giddins penned the Liner Notes (http://stevieholland.com/discography/before-love-has-gone-liner-notes/)
Stevie’s sense of humor, vulnerability, swinging jazz phrasing and sheer vocal beauty shine through on her upcoming release, Life Goes On, which will be available June 30th, 2015.

by C. Michael Bailey
Vocalist Stevie Holland has blazed quite a path for herself. She is fifteen years into a career that has produced seven recordings, the most recent being the present impressionistic Life Goes On. Holland approaches ten Gary William Friedman-arranged standards and originals like Matisse beginning ...

Singing standards with a clear delivery and a happy outlook, Stevie Holland gives her audience an intimate approach and a convincing, heartfelt persuasion.
James Taylor's Sunny Skies" coasts along gently with a buoyant aura, allowing Holland to interpret its positive lyrics with a graceful piano trio alongside. Zoot Walks In" brings an equally rosy outlook with jazz piano trio and tenor saxophone, but the drive of her interpretation glows with much more emphasis. It's the high point of ...
