Stik Cook

Stik Cook Born in Yorkshire, UK, from a musical family of more than 3 generations of respected musicians.

Stik first started playing drums at the age of 9 years, after his father gave him the musical instrument as a present. Versatile, after years of successful drumming, Stik took up the bass guitar gradually moving onto the double bass.

Ever searching new inspiration in music he is now studying jazz piano with americans David Lenker and Steve Bauman.

He received influencial tutoring from UK bass player Jeff Clyne, and New York bass player Reid Anderson.

He has played with recognised jazz artists such as Clark Tracey, Steve Waterman, David DeFries, Pedro Cortejosa, Celia Mur, Guillermo Morente, Dario Moreno, David Lenker, Ramon Cardo but also in various clubs and festivals around the world including London, San Francisco and Shanghai.

Stik now resides in the South of Spain, where he shares his musical activities with his osteopathic practice in Ronda and his recently born twin boys.
