Tat the Musician

"Tat", Tatsuya is an award winning, accomplished multi-instrumentalist in the America, who is originally from Japan. He plays and teaches piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, percussion, drums, key-drums (the newest drum-tech on keys), and many more instruments. He is also a music theorist throughout the Boston area as well as in Japan, a member of the American Federation of Musicians/Boston Musicians' Association. Being an alumnus of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Tatsuya is a spectacular drummer and a recipient of the Zildjian awards and several scholarships. Through Yoshinaga Music and XTY Music Lessons, Tatsuya has been able to give back to the community through music. XTY Music Lessons Boston recently has received the Best of Brighton Award for two consecutive years. Tatsuya has received this award for being compassionate and dedicated teacher to all of his students - nationally and internationally. Furthermore, Tatsuya continues to grow his talents through several performances throughout the year. His last performance was at the House of Blues at a charity event for Friends of Boston’s Homeless where they were able to raise $150,000 towards helping the homeless. Since Tatsuya’s introduction to American culture, he has successfully continued to contribute vicariously to the music trade by developing his highest quality of music and teaching method.
