The Jazz Pigs

Founded in 1990 by Guitarist/Songwriter Chris Broberg and Vibraphonist/Sho-biz Hustler Carlos X Pena. The Jazz Pigs have dedicated their sound to be against type and to deliver a high energy dynamic performance. Unlike most so-called jazz bands that lack passion and stage presence The Jazz Pigs perform "for" their audiences not "to" them. After Chris' departure in 1996, Carlos X has lead the band into a jazz fusion sound that can draws it's influences from everything from Coltrane to Zappa to Santana and Prog Rock. The Jazz Pigs wide open approach to standards has made them one of the most popular jam bands in Southern California and has Shaken up audiences in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Eastern Western Europe and Australia.
