Umphrey's McGee Umphrey's McGee

A six-piece progressive rock band from Chicago, IL, Umphrey's McGee has built a rabid fanbase through endless touring that puts them on the road 120+ nights a year. Their constantly evolving sound channels a wide spectrum of influences, while still preserving their distinct voice through crafty songwriting. With a massive repertoire of original songs and note-perfect covers, a live show is often like flipping through the presets on your radio dial. Their A.D.D. approach to “progressive improvisation” will often utilize a set of carefully devised (and Zappa inspired) hand signals that allows them to develop structure as they orchestrate their melodic creations on the fly.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
