Valentina Gramazio

Valentina Gramazio is a vocalist, author, producer and eclectic Italian artist. He collaborates with important musicians of the Italian and international Jazz scene (Giovanni Mazzarino, Flavio Boltro, Giuseppe Bellanca, Pasquale Fiore, Alex Orciari, Stjepko Gut and many others). He constantly performs in Jazz clubs, theaters and in Italian Jazz and author music festivals. The language of jazz has been the same since a child thanks to his father Domenico, a great passionate and talented amateur singer. Miles, Trane, Cannonball, Bird, the great swing orchestras, as well as the sacred monsters of vocal jazz like Sinatra, Ella, Sarah and "the other girls" are, through the vinyl, their teachers and lessons are held in the living room home. The daily listening of these legendary musicians educate and form his ear and his "jazz attitude", bringing it in a natural way to internalize a vast repertoire of standards, thanks to which he begins, while still attending the Lyceum, to perform live with various formations of professional musicians. In her early twenties she is a student for two years of the lyric contralto Daniela Battaglia, with whom she studied vocal technique, dealing with a classical repertoire. From 1996 to 1999 she was a student of the Jazz Vocalist Enrica Bacchia. In 2000, moved to Lombardy, she returned to classical singing with soprano Elena Bertocchi, always supporting the study of vocal technique with the deepening of the Jazz language participating in seminars and Masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians such as Jay Clayton, Sheila Jordan, Michelle Hendriks, Eduardo Lopes, Silvia Barresi and others. In 2012 he attended the Summer Seminars of Piazza Jazz, studying with highly experienced teachers such as Cinzia Spata, Gegè Telesforo, Anne Ducros, Barbara Casini, and many others. In 2012 he won one of the scholarships for the best female students of the singing section of the Festival. The experience of Piazza Jazz continues and consolidates in Messina Sea Jazz Festival, always under the direction of Mazzarino, a musician with whom he undertakes a professional collaboration that will lead her in 2014 to become a member of the Jazzy Records label. Without the need to be pigeonholed into musical or professional labels of any kind, his life is an artistically wellrounded life, in which the boundaries between jazz, art and communication mingle in a continuous stream of notes, ideas, meetings and projects : on stage with various formations, as a music and lyrics author, behind the scenes of advertising on advertising sets, in recording studio recording radio spots and jingles, or organizing cultural events of music, photography and contemporary art. In May 2015 he published PER INCISO, album of original compositions, reviewed on the most authoritative Italian newspapers (Jazzit, Corriere della Sera, Panorama, Modern Woman, Joy, Avvenire and many others) and the single "PER INCISO" reaching also the number position 50 of the Indie Music Like ranking in the spring of 2016. The versatility of Valentina has also attracted the interest of the Degree Course in Economics and Entertainment Management of the DAMS Faculty of the University of Udine - Gorizia, who invited her to hold two seminars on the theme of discography at June 2014 and May 2015 . During these meetings with the students Valentina brought her experience as a songwriter and a music entrepreneur, telling "live" how a record is born and what are the strategies and techniques that a record label puts in place to communicate, sell the product and promote the artist's image. In addition to professionally dealing with music, Valentina is an established advertising copywriter (a profession that has been working for 30 years, today as the owner of her creative boutique Gramazio adv) and is a journalist journalist registered in the Lombardy register collaborating with some newspapers that deal with music, communication and art. In 2015 she was invited to take part in the jury of the International Jazz Contest Tony Scott, in Campofelice di Roccella (Messina).
