Vic Stevens

Vic Stevens has been playing professionally since the age of 16. Vic has performed live and/or on recordings with jazz guitar legend Pat Martino, Larry Carlton, Dave Fiuczynski, Allan Holdsworth, Andreas Oberg, Scott McGill, David Torn, Alex Domschot, Gongzilla, bass greats Marc Johnson, Percy Jones, Michael Manring, Dave Carpenter, pianists Otmaro Ruiz, Marian Petrescu, Jordan Rudess, Jim Ridl, Tamir Hendelman, Kuno Schmid, Nate Adderley Jr., percussion legends Louie Balzo, José Madera, singers Maria Muldur, Lorrie Morgan, David Clayton Thomas, Helen Reddy, Martha Reeves, Bobby Rydel, Miles Jaye, Tony Desare, The O’Jays, Sam Moore, Bobbi Eakes, and Grammy award winning producers Neil Kernon (Hall & Oats, Yes, Brand X) and Joe Donofrio (Pat Martino).

In addition to extensive live performances and recording sessions, Vic has engineered and produced countless projects at Giant Steps Recording, which he has owned since 1992.

Vic in the StudioVic has released three solo projects: ”If People Could Talk”, “No Curb Ahead” and “Till We Meet Again”, which showcase his writing and producing abilities. His improvisational skills are highlighted on collaborative recordings with MMS (Mcgill, Manring, Stevens). Vic’s unique style has provided bands and artists with a wide variety of sonic colors to draw from. He credits his past teachers, Kenwood Dennard, Frankie Malabe, Roberta Petacia, Joe Morello, Barry Altschul, Peter Erskine and Lenny White, with his ability to adapt to many different styles.

Vic has been a long time endorser of Sonor drums, Bosphorus cymbals, Hear Technologies, Phattfoot, Federal Case Company, and a voting member of NARAS.
