Vincent Duhaime Perreault

Created on the initiative of its leader, composer and guitarist Vincent D. Perreault, TERTIO is a Jazz- Rock band from Montréal which has recently taken the jazz scene by storm. The members of the band are all active on the local, national and international jazz scene, playing as sidemen with such renowned artists as Susie Arioli, Sophie Milman, Parc-X trio, Cecile Doo-Kingué and Elage Diouf. Tertio's eponymous debut EP was released in June, 2015 on Montreal label Multiple Chords Music (MCM). Since then the band has played a wide variety of venues in both Quebec and Ontario, presenting their adventurous material to enthusiastic and rapt audiences. In June of 2016, only one year after the release of their EP, Tertio was invited to perform at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and take part in the “Grand Prix du Festival” contest. Their eclectic mix of Jazz-Rock - along with elements of electronic music - features a strong sense of composition  and a fearless approach to improvisation. Tertio is, indeed, a prime example of the new wave in modern jazz (and is part of the musical orientation of MCM records, a label which is home to, among others, the Rachel Therrien quintet, Parc-X trio and Frederic Alarie). After a critically acclaimed performance at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Tertio is looking  forward to sharing its musical vision with new audiences around the country and abroad!

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
