We have been good friends and musical collaborators since 2008, beginning when Phil lived near São Paulo for almost five months. Since then we have each journeyed many times between the U.S.A. and Brazil to play music, teach students, and socialize. Brazilian popular music and American jazz styles share so much common musical DNA… they coexist and blend without borders. As you listen to these tracks we hope you can sense this, and hear why we enjoy performing music together. Bruno and Phil, April 2019
