Ever since she was a little girl, Jacqueline Hopkins has been writing lyrics and composing music. In 2001, she decided to turn her passion into a profession. Her band is full of jazz legends: Flutist Elise Wood, leader of the all-stars that comprise the John Hicks Legacy Band; Bassist Hilliard “Hill” Greene, musical director for Jimmy Scott and the Jazz Expressions; Trumpet Player Antoine Drye, who has worked with artists ranging from Ellis Marsalis and Brand New Heavies, to Wilson Picket and Daniel Lewis, to name just a few.
